Hi! I’m Alexandra,
As a licensed massage therapist, yoga teacher, and scholar of eastern philosophy and psychology, I specialize in helping individuals experiencing chronic or acute physical and mental pain—particularly those who haven’t found lasting relief. My mission is to empower you to reconnect with your body and mind, guiding you toward a more pain-free, balanced, and fulfilling life.
The Dao and Your Body
The Dao represents a unifying principle that connects everything in the universe. Often translated as "the path" or "way," it embodies spontaneity, receptive knowing, and aligning with life's natural flow. Many physical and mental ailments arise when we lose touch with this flow.
In my work, I aim to help you reconnect with this natural order through body-oriented therapies like Massage and Mindful Awareness in Body-Oriented Therapy (MABT). The body holds the answers, but it often requires us to step outside of conscious thought and tune into the wisdom within. With a soothing, intuitive touch, I support you in aligning with the Dao of your body, restoring balance, and facilitating healing for both body and mind.
My Training and Approach
My approach integrates various schools of thought and healing modalities. After completing my initial 550-hour massage therapy certification in Los Angeles in 2021, I expanded my training with:
A 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh, India
A 100-hour Thai Massage certification in Chiang Mai, Thailand
A BA in Psychology from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa
Most recently, I trained with Dr. Cynthia Price in Mindful Awareness in Body-Oriented Therapy (MABT), an evidence-based approach for those dealing with both physical and emotional challenges.
MABT focuses on interoception—the ability to sense, interpret, and regulate internal bodily sensations. Through gentle touch, mindfulness, and collaborative communication, MABT helps you:
Develop deeper body awareness
Identify and process stored sensations
Regulate these sensations for improved emotional and physical well-being
Please refer to the MABT page in my service menu for more details.
My Service Philosophy
I believe bodywork is more than just physical relief—it's an opportunity to address the mind and emotions as well. A strong therapeutic relationship, open communication, and your comfort are essential to achieving meaningful results.
Where to Find Me
I currently offer massage services at The Still and Moving Center on O'ahu, and I also provide In-Room Mobile Massage Therapy for travelers and locals in the greater Honolulu area.
