Hi! Im Alexandra,
As a licensed massage therapist, yoga teacher, and scholar of Eastern philosophy and psychology, I assist individuals struggling with chronic or acute pain (mental or physical), who have not yet found solutions, in achieving relaxation of both body and mind, empowering them to lead a pain-free day-to-day life.
My personal style of manual therapy stems from my training in various modalities and schools of thought. I originally completed my 500 hours of massage therapy training in Los Angeles, California in early 2021. Shortly after I started attending the University of Hawaii Manoa studying psychology and eastern philosophy. During this time I completed my 200hr yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, India and 100 hr thai massage training in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Throughout my time in the philosophy department at the University of Hawai’i I took courses in Zen Buddhism, Indian philosophy, Buddhist philosophy and Chinese comparative philosophy. My training with body work, philosophy and psychology influences how I work as a massage therapist. In short, I try to see the big picture while working with clients by recognizing the apparent interconnection of the mind and body.
My Service Philosophy.
Massage has been proven in various studies to affect not only the physical body but the mental and emotional body as well. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship with your massage therapist, open communication and comfort can be the single most important thing when looking to achieve results in a session. This is why my services are intended to be designed according the person who I am working with, taking into account their personal goals for the session as well as what I am able to interpret.
Each session is entirely unique just like YOU!
Where to find me?
I offer my massage services at The Still and Moving Center on the island of O’ahu . I am also now offering In-Room Mobile Massage Therapy for travelers and locals alike in the greater Honolulu area.
If you are interested in booking an appointment with me, I would encourage you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation to establish the foundation for our session. I hope that through the knowledge and experience I have gained, I can share it with every person I have the opportunity to serve.
